At our Company, we truly have two objectives 1. Assist start up entrepreneurs succeed and 2. Help small to medium sized businesses get unstuck and consistently profitable. It is very common for businesses to get stuck on occasion, when this happens it's nice to know that someone is there to help you through it, thats been through it. I am one of the only professional business coaches that currently owns and invests in companies. I do this because of my passion for the game! Plus, there is NO way to understand what is going on with executives and businesses unless you remain engaged in the day to day operations of making payroll, innovating new products, dealing with HR issues, legal issues, marketing opportunities and growing profits. I am passionate about professional coaching; whether that's small business coaching or executive coaching. When you work with me you are working with someone with tried and tested experience.
History
I started coaching in 2007 during the early days of the coaching concept. When I heard about executive and business coaching I thought of my father who told me when I entered college, “Luther you should be a coach!” Having played sports in high school and collegiately, I watched the thankless demands on a coach for little pay (this was in the early 80’s, today it is vastly different) I said "No thank you! I am going into business where I can be paid for my value!"
It proved to be a great decision, however, there was a gnawing voice that would never go away. Then on a plane ride from New York City, I met an investment banker who told me that he had just left Wall Street to start a business coaching career in Cleveland. I had just participated in the sale of a outstanding technology company and was looking for a new investment and venture. Needless to say, I was more intrigued, so, I stayed in touch with him. Through our correspondence, I began to think my father was right, I can do both. In 2007 I started coaching executives, small business owners, and entrepreneurs. Since that time, I have coached companies all over the United States and Internationally.
Knowledge
Knowledge came from doing. There really is no other way. I recognized very quickly that my life’s business experiences, good and bad, had prepared me to understand my clients in a very clear and progressive way. I could tell quickly that my experiences resonated with them, and they knew they had someone who had once experienced many of the same things they were currently experiencing. This helped my clients to build their foundation of trust with myself and my associates.
I coupled my passion to coach with all of the information, tools, systems and relationships I had developed over 20 years of business experience in 2007 and built a world class coaching business from the ground up. It is my passion and it is my purpose! I have continued to own and invest in companies, as I mentioned, to keep me sharp and keep me in the game of business; but my passion and personal intent is to “Save the world, one business or business executive at a time.” That may sound lofty, but it isn’t to me, I believe solid businesses and those who run them or own them can and do change the world.
